What is the UK Infrastructure Pipeline?

In July 2025, the Government launched the UK Infrastructure Pipeline.[1] The Pipeline is an online tool which provides industry and investors with information on infrastructure projects in the construction, under development and pre-project stages, both public and privately-delivered.[2]

The Infrastructure Pipeline lists details of projects, including the name, sector and sub-sector, expenditure on new infrastructure and on maintenance and renewals, the region, funding source, start date and date in service, and the status of the scheme.[3] There are currently 777 projects or programmes listed on the Pipeline, representing £540 billion of planned investment for the next ten years.[4]

Updates to the Pipeline will be carried out on a six month cycle, with the aim to increase frequency over time.[5] The next iteration is planned for January 2026.
