Janet Wood has been a journalist and media adviser covering the power and energy sector for over 30 years.  

She has previously edited magazines including Utility Week, Nuclear Engineering International, International Water Power and Dam Construction, Power Engineer, Asian Electricity and Power Engineering International. She has written books on nuclear power and community energy for IET.

Janet is currently a member of Cadent’s Customer Challenge Group and SPEN DSO’s Advisory Panel. She was previously a member of SPEN’s Independent Net Zero Advisory Council). She is a council member of the BIEE and the Parliamentary Group on Energy Studies.  She has a degree in Physics and Chemistry from Royal Holloway College, University of London.
