Reform UK Announces Party Board Members

On 22 August 2025, Reform UK announced the appointment of six new members to the Party’s decision-making board.

Three of the board members were elected by the Party’s membership, namely:

  • Gawain Towler, who worked as Head of Press for UKIP from 2009 to 2018 and Director of Communications for Reform UK from 2019 to 2024,
  • Darren Grimes, a former GB News presenter, political commentator and activist who was elected Deputy Leader of Durham County Council earlier this year,
  • Dan Barker, the former Conservative candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester, who defected to Reform in March 2024.

The Leader of Reform UK, Nigel Farage MP, appointed three board members, namely:

  • Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire and former Conservative MP,
  • Paul Nuttall, the former MEP and Leader of UKIP from 2016 to 2017,
  • Zia Yusuf, a businessman who served as Chairman of Reform from 2024 to 2025, and is currently Head of Reform’s Department of Government Efficiency.

The establishment of a Party Board is seen as a move towards professionalisation as the Party seeks to capitalise on its success in the 2024 local elections, and leading position in national polls.
